Paste a finished draft. Watch it type into the doc.

LiveDraft is a Chrome extension for people who wrote the work somewhere else — another editor, another device, a notes app — and need it in Google Docs with a typing history. It types your text at a human pace, with optional typos, pauses, and corrections.

It is not a tool for submitting AI-written work as your own, and it is not a way to evade academic integrity rules. You are responsible for how you use it.

What it is for

How to use

  1. Install LiveDraft and open a Google Doc or a page with a text field. Word Online is not supported.
  2. Click the LiveDraft icon. Paste the finished text you wrote.
  3. Pick a preset (Careful, Normal, Messy) or set speed, accuracy, and pauses.
  4. Click Select input, then click the field or document.
  5. Click once to place the cursor. Do not highlight a span of text.
  6. Click Start typing on the page bar (or in the popup).

LiveDraft types blind. It sends keystrokes from its copy of the text and does not watch the live document. Do not type, click in the document, or move the cursor until it finishes — that will scramble the output. Use Pause or Stop on the overlay or in the popup.

FAQ

Is this for cheating or generating an assignment with AI?

No. LiveDraft types text you provide. The intended use is moving writing you already created onto another platform so the document has a typing history. Optional AI only rephrases sentences you pasted, then revises back to your text. Using it to violate a school or employer policy is your responsibility, and we are not liable if you are penalized. See the Terms of Use.

What happens if my school or institution punishes me?

You use LiveDraft at your own risk. We are not liable for grades, academic integrity investigations, disciplinary action, job consequences, or any other outcome at a school, university, or workplace. Read the Terms of Use before you start.

Which editors work?

Google Docs and ordinary text fields (inputs, textareas, contenteditable). Microsoft Word Online is not supported.

Why can’t I touch the keyboard while it types?

LiveDraft does not read the live document as it goes. If you click or type, the cursor moves and the remaining keystrokes land in the wrong place. Pause or Stop first if you need to intervene.

How do AI tokens work?

Buy a $5 (1M tokens) or $10 (3M tokens) pack. Polar emails a license key. Paste it in AI Settings. The whole AI plan is decided up front; if you do not have enough tokens for the paste, typing with AI will not start. Unused tokens last for the license term (currently up to 2 years on the Polar product).

I paid but did not get a license key.

Check spam for Polar’s email. You can also open Polar’s customer portal from the AI Settings link in the extension. If it is still missing, email livedraft@party-game.net with the email you used at checkout (do not send card numbers).

How do I install it before it is on the Chrome Web Store?

Chrome → chrome://extensions → Developer mode → Load unpacked → select the LiveDraft folder. Reload the extension after updates.
